The Bible reminds us how important it is to teach God’s Word to our children. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it.” And in Deuteronomy 6:6–7, God tells His people that His words are to be upon their hearts and that they are to teach them diligently to their children—talking about them at home and throughout the ordinary activities of life.
Our desire with God’s Word for Children is to provide simple resources that can help parents do just that—teach children God’s Word, help them understand what it means, and encourage them to apply His truth to their everyday lives.
On this page, you’ll find free coloring pages that combine fun pictures with verses from Scripture and biblical principles that we believe can help children grow spiritually. They cover things such as forgiving others, telling the truth, being patient, obeying, praying, reading God’s Word, controlling anger, showing kindness, and trusting God.
You’ll also find Family Bible Studies designed to help parents sit down with their children, open the Bible together, read Scripture, ask questions, and talk about how God’s Word applies to their lives. Our first Family Bible Study is about forgiveness and goes along with our “Be Kind and Forgive” coloring page from Ephesians 4:32.
Be sure to check back! At the beginning of each month, we will post a new Family Bible Study for you to go through together with your children. We will also continue adding coloring pages and other resources designed to help children learn and apply the truths of Scripture. Our prayer is that these resources will encourage families to spend time together in God’s Word and help children grow in their knowledge, love, and obedience to God and His Word.

Be Kind and Forgive
A Family Bible Study on Forgiveness
Main Passage: Ephesians 4:31–32
Forgiving someone who has hurt us is not always easy. But God’s Word teaches us why we should forgive, what forgiveness should look like, and most importantly, how the forgiveness God offers us through Jesus Christ should affect the way we forgive others.
Begin by reading Ephesians 4:31–32 together. Then work through the following questions as a family. Take your time, look at what the Bible says, and encourage everyone—including the person leading the study—to participate.
Talk About It Together
1. What are some of the things Ephesians 4:31 tells us to get rid of?
2. According to Ephesians 4:32, how should we treat one another instead?
3. What does it mean to forgive someone?
4. According to Ephesians 4:32, why should we forgive others, even when they have hurt us? In other words, what does this verse say our motive should be for forgiving others?
5. What did Jesus Christ do so that we could be forgiven for our sins?
Read 1 Corinthians 15:3–4.
6. How do we receive this forgiveness?
Read Mark 1:15.
7. What can happen in our hearts when we refuse to forgive someone?
Here’s a hint—it starts with the letter “B.”
8. Ephesians 4:32 also instructs us to do acts of kindness toward those we have forgiven. What are some ways we can demonstrate these acts of kindness toward them?
9. Hebrews 8:12 says that God will remember our sins no more. If God does not keep bringing our forgiven sins back up to us, how should that affect the way we treat someone we have forgiven?
