Thank you for taking the time to visit our church website. Feel free to contact me, I would love the opportunity to meet you. 1 Timothy 3:1 says, “It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do.” MacArthur’s commentary states “This describes the type of man who belongs in the ministry-who outwardly pursues it because he is driven by a strong internal desire.” God has given me this strong desire to be a pastor, to preach and teach His word, to shepherd, to disciple, to comfort, to counsel, to practice the qualifications in 1 Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:5-9, and to fulfill the other pastoral duties as well. This desire to pastor led me to attend Master’s University, where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies. My prayer, study of God’s Word, support and wisdom from my wife, accountability to spiritually mature pastors, extensive research into church planting, and many doors of opportunity opening, led me strongly to believe that I should go the direction of starting a new church plant. I am also praying that God can use some of my ministry experience to help toward building His church. In addition to my schooling, I am praying that the Lord will use my fifteen years of leading evangelism and many years of teaching/preaching His Word to help toward building His church. My overall biggest desire is that all the credit for any ministry I accomplish, goes to God, rather than myself. I pray that attention is brought to Him, that God is truly glorified for empowering me to accomplish His will. “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all things for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31.
